DD Series 60

The Series 60 was introduces to the market in 1986 and has been one of Australia’s and New Zealand’s most popular engines for more than 20 years. All in all nearly 1.000.000 engines of this type were built until now, which are used all over the world. It was the first one with fully integrated electronic controls and which helped to get the highest performance and best power out of the Series 60. The latest version is the Series 60 ADR 80/02 EGR, which uses the third generation Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system for reduction of emissions and a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) for enhanced drivability. The DDEC VI, Detroit Diesel’s latest engine control system is one of the major advantages of the Series 60 ADR 80/02 EGR. The engine is available as 6-cylinder inline configuration for on-highway and marine applications.
